01

Why Pisa, why SSML.

Four reasons international students choose us — and stay.
01

Three languages, not one

Our Bachelor in Linguistic Mediation builds advanced C1 proficiency in two foreign languages plus an intermediate third — taught in the target language by native speakers, not just translated to and from English.

02

1 : 5 teacher-student ratio

Small classes mean every student speaks, performs, and gets corrected every session. It's the closest thing to private tuition you'll find at university scale, and it's why our students leave fluent rather than just proficient.

03

Native-speaker faculty from 15 countries

Around 70% of our language faculty are native speakers or bilingual professionals — translators, interpreters and managers — bringing real industry experience and authentic accents into every classroom.

04

Professional from day one

126 of 180 ECTS go to language and applied subjects, with curricular internships in Italy or abroad through our Career Service — and partner companies in 22 countries waiting for our graduates.

02

Study with us in Pisa.

Three pathways for international students who want a full academic experience in Italy — from a three-week summer programme to a three-year Bachelor's degree.
03

Exchange & mobility.

If you're enrolled at a partner university, you can spend one or two semesters studying with us in Pisa.
Our students travel too

Internationalisation works both ways.

SSML Pisa is not only a place that welcomes the world — it's a place that sends its students into the world. Through Erasmus+ exchanges and our Double Degree with France, our undergraduates earn international experience that employers value and that shapes the rest of their professional lives.
